The « La Passerelle » Foundation was born out of the urgent need to represent and defend French Muslims. Its name, « La Passerelle », symbolizes the bridge, the connection between the different communities in France, aiming to overcome divisions and promote better mutual understanding. The foundation serves as a voice for Muslims in France (MDF), addressing stereotypes, promoting the values of peace and sharing inherent in Islam, and actively participating in public debate.
In France, the land of human rights and freedom of expression, many Muslim citizens feel excluded from discussions where their voices could be heard. La Passerelle aims to change this by being an organized structure that represents the community in a united, structured, and constructive manner. We want to promote mutual understanding and defend the rights of Muslims, while demonstrating a deep attachment to France and the positive contributions the community brings to the nation. La Passerelle seeks to be a respected interlocutor, capable of engaging in dialogue with public institutions, the media, and other communities to build a more harmonious future together.
